About Me

You found me!  I am Melissa, the redhead behind Speech Chick Therapy.  I have been in the speech therapy field for over 17 years.  While in graduate school, I was an SLP assistant in the public schools in Texas.  Once I graduated, I remained in the school system, but dabbled in other areas such as home health.  I found out I loved worked with families to help their child!  I started Speech Chick Therapy in October 2010.  To this day, I am still a solo therapist running this business.  So when you call to schedule an appointment, you talk to me!

I am married to my high school sweetheart.  We have two kids, a daughter and a son.  Both are active in basketball!  So when I am not doing a speech therapy session, I am usually sitting on the sidelines, cheering them on!  I love pink, glitter, Converse shoes, tacos, candy, pizza and cookies.
